I've been thinking about either just idling my engine to let the alternator do its thing, or maybe installing one of those underhood generators I keep hearing about.

Nobody warned me that my Lippert 10540 controller would go rogue and start randomly cycling through all the slide positions without me touching anything. My 2006 Damon Tuscany's Lippert 10540 controller has officially given up the ghost, and of course it's been discontinued because why would anything in RV life be simple, right?

I'm staring at this dead piece of technology wondering if I'm supposed to perform some sort of RV séance to bring it back to life, or if there are actually some real-world solutions out there. Are there compatible aftermarket controllers that won't cost me my firstborn? Can I upgrade to something newer that'll actually work with my ancient leveling system? I'm even desperate enough to consider salvage yard hunting at this point - because nothing says "living the dream" like dumpster diving for RV parts!

Manual says to use Tow/Haul mode in the mountains but doesn't mention anything about using it with cruise control. Currently running cruise on the interstate with Tow/Haul off and wondering if I should be using both together. Don't want to damage the transmission doing it wrong. …more

Nobody wants to deal with electrical problems on a long camping trip, but here I am trying to figure out what's wrong with my setup. The TV and two nearby outlets suddenly stopped working on our extended northern trip, even though I tested everything before departure. These outlets only work when I manually turn on my Magnum Dimensions CSW1012 inverter, despite being plugged into 50-amp shore power most of the time. I'm trying to decide between two possibilities: either my inverter is failing (it's started making intermittent high-pitched humming sounds) or the transfer switch (CSW-TS15-H) isn't automatically switching properly.
