About my 2007 Fleetwood Bounder: the MagnaSine MS2012 manual claims it should handle my loads perfectly, but this inverter keeps failing on me anyway. It's been acting up for months now - the microwave keeps causing it to hiccup and shut off, then it comes right back on. I know it's only going to get worse from here.

I've been looking at upgrading to something more reliable, maybe a Victron or another brand, but I'm honestly overwhelmed by all the options out there. What are the best replacement inverters that other RVers have had success with? I just want something that's going to work consistently without all these random shutdowns.

Before I spend a bunch of money though, could this actually be a battery issue instead of the inverter itself? I'd hate to replace a perfectly good unit if the real problem is somewhere else in the system. …more

Finally moved into an RV with a 20-year-old Tradewinds inverter/charger unit that's completely dead and I have absolutely no idea how to replace it. The repair shop is offering a used Magnum MS2812 (2800VA) for $700 installed, but I'm concerned about its actual charging capacity versus my requirements.

My RV is wired for 50A shore power service, and I need an inverter/charger that can handle the full charging load. The shop claims the MS2812 will work, but the specifications seem to indicate it's only a 30A charger unit. Are there any legitimate 50A inverter/charger options available under $1000, or should I be looking at different manufacturers like Progressive Dynamics or Aims for this price range? …more

Between midnight and 6 AM, my 2001 Ford E450's Victron 3000W solar system keeps flipping itself from RV to house power mode completely on its own. The bus is parked in my driveway and currently running a mini split efficiently with minimal power draw from the battery bank.

My house has a secondary electrical panel with a 30-amp inlet that I normally use for my Honda generator, connected through a transfer switch. The panel feeds 2x 20-amp and 4x 15-amp circuits. Since the solar system is producing excess power while parked, I want to utilize this capacity to power my house circuits.

What's the proper method to connect the Victron inverter output to my existing 30-amp house inlet? I need to understand the safe connection procedure, power limitations of the 3000W system, and any critical monitoring requirements for the battery bank when supplying house loads instead of just the RV systems. …more

Got my 2021 Winnebago View 24D torn apart right now and there's charred components scattered all over the inside of this completely dead Xantrex inverter. Rather than replace with another Xantrex unit, I'm considering upgrading to a Victron MultiPlus system.

The RV is equipped with dual 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and 200W solar array. Current electrical configuration uses the standard Winnebago 12V DC system with 30A shore power connection. The failed Xantrex unit was a 2000W inverter/charger combo with remote panel monitoring.

Which specific Victron MultiPlus model would provide optimal performance for this application? Additionally, what connection modifications will be required, and can the existing Xantrex remote panel be eliminated in favor of app-based monitoring? …more
