During this tight budget month, is there any way to replace the mounting brackets on my GE residential refrigerator for under $100? The bracket that secures the fridge broke (as shown in the attached picture) during our last trip, and now I'm worried about it shifting around while we're driving.

I've been searching everywhere online but I'm not having any luck finding the exact part. Are these brackets something universal that I can get from RV parts suppliers, or do I need to go directly through GE? I'm also wondering if there's a way to fabricate something myself if I can't find the original part.

Replaced my old Dometic RV fridge but now I'm second-guessing whether I should have gone with a residential unit instead of another 12 cu. ft. residential unit - looking at Frigidaire or Whirlpool models. But I keep seeing terrible reviews for small residential fridges in RVs.

What causes these issues with residential fridges in RV applications? Are there better alternatives that give me residential-style features without the problems? Need to know about power requirements and installation considerations too. …more

Looked at my Norcold 1210 refrigerator in my Grand Design 303RLS this morning — it's running perfectly normal but everything inside stays warm with zero error codes. Everything seems to work - the control panel responds, lights come on, and it even fires up on propane - but there's absolutely no cooling happening. Temperature reading shows 43°F and climbing.

What's making me nervous is that there are no error codes or alarms at all. I've checked the fuse and it's good, the little black box's red light is not on, and the fans aren't running. Usually when something breaks, you get some kind of warning, right? I'm worried I might be missing something obvious or that continuing to run it could cause more damage. Despite being on a tight budget and unable to afford professional installation, is there a way to properly fit my Frigidaire FFET1222 in my cramped RV kitchen myself? The manufacturer lists specific dimensions, but I'm worried they might not be completely accurate and I'll end up with a fridge that doesn't fit.
