Replaced my 105Ah AGM battery and now my RC7-GS inverter charger is completely rejecting it like this capacity doesn't exist in its programming.

The charging settings only go from 125Ah up to 1000Ah, with an 'auto' option that supposedly 'learns' my battery but resets every time the low voltage cutoff trips (which feels like cheating, honestly). I'm worried about undercharging or cooking my expensive new AGMs if I pick the wrong setting.

Oh, and while we're talking about things that don't work as advertised - the generator auto-start feature might as well be a myth. Can't even manually start the generator from the RC7 panel. Standing next to my RV watching what started as occasional inverter beeps last month escalate into exactly three beeps and complete shutdown after just minutes. My multimeter shows the batteries at 12.8V when I check them, so they seem fine.

I'm worried there might be something more serious going on that I'm missing. Could this be a safety issue? What would cause an inverter to shut itself off like this even when the battery voltage looks normal? Before my wife mentioned it, I had no idea our RV gas detector was beeping every single minute from 7PM to 7AM—now it's driving me absolutely crazy. During my pre-trip inspection on my Thor ACE F53 chassis, discovered grinding wheel bearings and a dead propane detector that needs immediate replacement.

First, I desperately need to get my wheel bearings serviced/greased, but I'm having trouble finding someone who will work on them. Camping World told me they only service trailers, not motorhome chassis. I'm worried about driving much further without proper maintenance - where should I be looking for this type of service?

Second issue has me even more concerned: my propane detector started beeping constantly and wouldn't stop, so I had to pull the fuse. Now I discovered that with the fuse pulled, my slides won't operate at all! This seems like a safety feature, but I'm not sure if the detector just needs replacement or if there's a bigger problem. Our 2017 Prevost coach's Outback VFX2812M inverter/charger died completely and my wife keeps asking why nothing electrical works anymore. The unit appears to be getting power since the cooling fan kicks on and runs, and when connected to shore power, 120VAC passes through just fine. However, when I disconnect from shore power and shut down the generator, the inverter completely fails to produce any AC power output.

What's particularly concerning is that the MATE digital controller inside the coach never powers on - the display remains completely blank with no indicator lights whatsoever. I have a brand new 12VDC battery bank, so I don't believe it's a battery issue. I've already tried disconnecting both AC and DC connections and reconnecting them, but aside from the fan running for about a minute during startup, nothing else happens.

I'm wondering if there might be internal fuses within the VFX2812M that I should be checking, and also whether the blank MATE controller display might be related to the same underlying problem. During these scorching summer days, this complete RV newbie is baffled why my Class A's GFCI keeps tripping every few days and I'm totally lost. The RV isn't plugged directly into the GFCI outlet, but there's one on the same circuit that keeps popping.

I'm wondering if my solar inverter might be the culprit since it seems heat-related? Or could this be pointing to a battery that's starting to go bad? Just trying to figure out if this is normal wear and tear or something I need to address before it gets worse. …more
