Between now and our cross-country departure next week, my 2006 Allegro Bus motorhome with the Ford V10 engine started having intermittent starting and stalling issues. Standing in front of my 2022 Fleetwood Frontier 36ss after following every YouTube tutorial on fixing body roll, I somehow made the swaying and corner instability even worse. The difference is really noticeable compared to my previous RV, a 2016 Itasca 34H that had Bilstein shocks and handled much more smoothly with minimal body roll.

I'm considering investing about $1200 in Koni shocks as an upgrade, thinking they might solve this handling issue. However, I want to make sure I'm spending my money on the right solution. Will upgrading to Koni shocks actually reduce the body roll I'm experiencing, or should I be looking at other suspension modifications? Opened up my Allegro Bay 46 ft motorhome on a Ford F53 chassis after winter storage and now it won't turn over, dashboard lights are going crazy, AND the engine makes weird clicking sounds. When I turn the key, the warning lights cycle normally (except the check engine light, which does not turn on), and the engine turns over fine when I hit the starter. Walked out to check my four 6-volt Interstate golf cart batteries in my 2015 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32SA and there's dramatically different water loss happening across them after just 6 months. Finally hit my budget limit after other RV repairs — is there a way to fix my Coachman Euro 28' F53 Godzilla handling issues for under $500? After 18+ years driving diesel pushers, this thing rides like a covered wagon and steers like a shopping cart at highway speeds. Apparently engine braking saved me on my old Class A, but this 2016 Tiffin Allegro 36UA on the F53 chassis is absolutely terrifying on steep grades. Even in low gear, it seems to rev up and then upshift, and I end up gaining speed instead of slowing down. The engine braking just doesn't seem adequate.

I've been researching electromagnetic retarders as a possible solution, but I'm not sure if they can even be installed on an F53 or what they cost. Are there other options I should consider first? My new 2024 Tiffin Allegro 36LA came with Michelin 255/80R22.5 highway tires and I'm worried they're dangerous for winter driving with my kids onboard. Spent way too much time getting quotes and now I'm staring at $2,800 worth of repairs for my 1996 Newmar Mountain Aire on Ford F530 chassis. Recently, the RV was stored outside and squirrels caused wiring damage, which I've had repaired. Now I'm dealing with a problem where the lights stay on when the transmission goes into reverse.
